This section includes items necessary for documenting Chain of Custody issues as required for legally admissible results. 

Specimens are identified by type of specimen submitted and for whom.  Typical specimen types include Buccal Swabs, Blood, and Tissue Samples. 

The Collected by field lists the evidentiary custodian.  The evidentiary custodian is the person responsible for collecting the DNA sample, documenting the identification of the collected individual, and serving as the neutral third party verifying the integrity of the sample collection process. 

The Date Received column documents the date that the individual samples are accessioned into our facility. 

Via list method of delivery.  The most common methods are USPS, FedEx, UPS, Airborne, and Courier.
